EcoSynthetix Raises $100 Million CAD in Largest Cleantech IPO on TSX
EcoSynthetix was formed in 1996 by a graduate of Waterloo University to develop bio-based materials as an environmentally friendly and superior product to petroleum-based products. The company presented their biolatex® with wide acclaim at the 2010 Ag Innovation Showcase.
A little more than a year after their participation in the Ag Innovation Showcase, EcoSynthetix closed its IPO priced at $9 per share in Canadian dollars under Toronto Stock Exchange symbol ECO, for proceeds totaling $100.35 million. This was the largest cleantech IPO on the Toronto Stock Exchange to date.
