AeroFarms Raises $20M Series B

Is vertical farming the next big thing for food - and tech? AeroFarms, one of our 2010 Showcase Alumnis, has closed more than $132.5 million since first participating in Ag Showcase. AeroFarms has also built the world's largest vertical farm! Aerofarms’ 69,000 square-foot facility is based in a converted steel factory in Newark, New Jersey. The vertical farm is expected to grow up to 2 million pounds of kale, arugula, and other salad greens annually. Aerofarms was recently profiled by CBS this Morning and ABC's "The Chew."
